چکیده

<p>Infectious diseases are caused by the presence of microorganisms that enter and develop in body, causing several clinical symptoms signs. One infectious is diarrhea <em>Escherichia coli</em>. There many potential herbal plants as alternative antibacterial antibiotics, one which comes from Asian pigeonwings flower (<em>Clitoria ternatea</em>). This study aims to determine activity ethyl acetate fraction flower, phytochemical compounds its TLC-bioautography profile. The compound was extracted maceration using ethanol then fractionated made solutions with concentrations 5, 10, 20, 40%, respectively. experiment carried out 3 replications well diffusion method followed Phytochemical were determined thin layer chromatography (TLC). Antibacterial data analyzed Way ANOVA continued Tukey HSD 5% through SPSS. had best at a concentration 40% an inhibition zone diameter 11.54 mm. showed significantly different each it can be said able inhibit growth <em>E. contained flavonoids alkaloids being most active inhibiting coli.</em></p>

Antihistaminic activity of Clitoria ternatea L. roots

Clonidine, a α2 adrenoreceptor agonist induces dose dependent catalepsy in mice, which was inhibited by histamine H1 receptor antagonists but not by H2 receptor antagonist. Clonidine releases histamine from mast cells which is responsible for different asthmatic conditions. Clitoria ternatea L. (Family: Fabaceae) is a perimial twing herb. The roots have anti-inflammatory properties and are usef...
